I kept thinking about a handmade quilt while I painted this—different pieces, different colors, little messages and memories, all somehow belonging together.

Because home isn’t something that just happens. We make it. In the people we love, the things we say, the joy we choose, the places that feel like us, and all the tiny moments we probably don’t realize matter so much while we’re living them.
