No Notes

No Notes came from giving myself permission to make without evaluating.

I painted hearts because I wanted to. Reached for my favorite colors. Scribbled. Repeated shapes. Followed one mark with another without stopping to ask where any of it was going.

And it felt good.

There was nothing to solve, refine, or make more serious. For once, I wasn't standing outside the work judging it while I made it. I was simply inside it.

When I stepped back, I realized I didn't want to change a thing.
