Roots

I have had these oval tree trunk frames for many years, and I've never quite known what to do with them since I usually don't paint in an oval shape. However, with this series, I was presented with a challenge I couldn't refuse.

Just as a tree would topple without roots, we also require the roots of our soul for our strength to heal, learn, grow, and love. This piece symbolizes the importance of staying grounded to continue evolving.
